Testimonial: Redesigning Egis’s HR information systems with Althéa’s support

Egis is a global group with 20,000 employees, generating more than €2 billion in revenue in engineering and operations. In 2022, the group launched a major project to redesign its HR information systems, including the implementation of a Core HR, talent management, learning and compensation modules, and a recruitment platform—an initiative that Althéa had the honour of supporting.

Discover the feedback from Ms Le Porho, Egis’s HR Digital Director, on this collaboration.

A strategic need for a global organisation

With a presence in nearly 100 countries and a very strong growth ambition, Egis had to meet a strategic need: to centralise and harmonise HR data through a single source. After an in-depth study and a rigorous tender process, Althéa was selected to support the implementation of this transformation.

“We appreciated the responsiveness, the completeness of the proposal and a budget approach suited to our needs. This relationship, initiated at the end of 2022, proved decisive for the success of the project.” – Ms Le Porho, Egis HR Digital Director

Structured and responsive support

Althéa played a role, first in the upstream phase by building the specifications, then as AMOA (Assistance to the Project Owner) on the project.

“The scale of the project was significant, the stages followed one another quickly, and the Althéa teams were able to propose relevant and responsive profiles to meet our needs, sometimes within very tight deadlines.” – Ms Le Porho, Egis HR Digital Director

Concrete actions were carried out by Althéa to support us, such as:

  • Support for organising and coordinating the project with various internal stakeholders.
  • Preparing the testing phases by defining use cases
  • Developing materials to support change management, including the preparation of user guides and communications

Results delivered

In September 2024, Egis rolled out Core HR globally for its 20,000 employees. The objectives were successfully achieved, on schedule and with minimal issues at go-live.

“Among the strengths are the responsiveness and the quality of the deliverables, which are both structured and comprehensive. The working relationship has always been pleasant and constructive, marked by genuine collaboration. Every request received a quick and effective response, with attentive follow-up. In the event of difficulty, I know my contacts will mobilise to provide me with a rapid response, which perfectly illustrates this availability and commitment.” – Ms Le Porho, Egis HR Digital Director

Philippe Pauwels’s insight, Deputy CEO of Althéa, on the Egis project

Egis’s HR information systems redesign project is a fine example of a well-executed digital transformation. From the outset, we had the opportunity to be involved in the upstream phase by contributing to the development of a master plan. This step was essential to clarify the scope of the Core HR project and lay the foundations for its broader ambitions, notably as part of Egis’s overall transformation.

“A collaboration built on transparency and trust. The mutual trust established from the very first stages greatly facilitated our ability to respond quickly to reinforcement and intervention needs. We were able to work in an environment where operational quality is a shared priority.” – Philippe Pauwels, Deputy CEO, Althéa

The partnership with Egis has been enriching for our teams, not only because of the scale and complexity of the project, but also thanks to the closeness and quality of the relationship established with stakeholders. Working on a project of this magnitude, impacting more than 20,000 employees worldwide, is both an opportunity and a challenge.

“Egis is a great project and one that is exciting for our teams” – Philippe Pauwels, Deputy CEO, Althéa

Beyond the results achieved, this project embodies what we value most in our work: contributing to our clients’ strategic transformation while building strong and lasting relationships.

We look forward to continuing to support Egis in the next phases, with the same energy and commitment.

A lasting partnership

Egis is continuing its collaboration with Althéa as part of phase 2 of the project, focused on introducing new Talent management, Learning and Compensation modules. This partnership is built on a relationship of trust, founded on transparency and operational efficiency.

“The objectives of phase 1 were successfully achieved within very tight timelines (less than a year to implement Core HR in Big Bang mode), which is why we are continuing our collaboration with Althéa for the implementation of phase 2…” – Ms Le Porho, Egis HR Digital Director

Conclusion

At Althéa, we are proud to support major players such as Egis in their digital transformation. Projects of this scale are as exciting for our teams as they are a real opportunity to help clients fully understand and successfully address complex challenges.
