Historically recognised for its expertise in plaster, the group has gradually expanded its offering around plasterboard and related solutions: access panels, metal framing, reinforced tapes and eco-friendly insulation. <\/p>\n\n<p>With nearly 900 employees, around fifteen plants in Europe and revenue of approximately \u20ac220 million, SEMIN is pursuing an ambitious growth trajectory, now led by Caroline SEMIN, representing the sixth generation.<\/p>\n\n<p>In a context of strong internal and external growth, the group launched a strategic ERP transformation project to support its international ambitions and a stated objective: reaching \u20ac1 billion in revenue by 2035. To structure this approach, SEMIN chose to rely on ALTH\u00c9A\u2019s expertise. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Context: a legacy ERP that has reached maturity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>When the Group Executive Committee launched the project, the existing ERP had been supporting the company for nearly twenty years.<\/p>\n\n<p>While it supported the group\u2019s growth for many years, it can no longer meet the new challenges: international expansion, acquisitions, the construction of new plants and increasing complexity in industrial processes.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cOur legacy ERP supported SEMIN\u2019s growth, but it was no longer able to support our future ambitions, particularly internationally.\u201d <br\/>Val\u00e9rie ROCH, HR and Transformation Director, SEMIN Group<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>The project quickly went beyond a purely technical dimension. It is a genuine transformation project, structuring for the entire organisation. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The assignment: define the scope, secure the process and choose the right software vendor\u2013integrator duo<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>SEMIN wanted support from the very early stages, with a clear objective:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Define a structured set of requirements aligned with the group\u2019s strategy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Secure the tender process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify the right software vendor\u2013integrator duo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Changing ERP is a high-stakes project with significant risks. The company therefore chose to surround itself with a firm capable of providing methodology, experience and an external perspective. <\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cChanging ERP is a structuring, high-stakes project. We were aware of the risks and difficulties some companies can encounter. This candour strongly contributed to our choice.\u201d<br\/>Val\u00e9rie ROCH, HR and Transformation Director, SEMIN Group<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>In a long-term project, the ability to establish a lasting relationship of trust was decisive.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A structured and evolving assignment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The support was delivered in several phases:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support with selection and choosing the software vendor\u2013integrator duo<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kick-off of preparation and migration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organisation of workshops involving business and IT teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The ALTH\u00c9A team evolved over the course of the project while maintaining strong continuity thanks to the presence of the project director.<\/p>\n\n<p>Internal feedback highlights the quality of the discussions and the added value delivered during the workshops.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ALTH\u00c9A\u2019s strengths according to SEMIN<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>For Val\u00e9rie ROCH, the project\u2019s success is based on several key factors:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A genuine willingness to understand SEMIN\u2019s business and culture<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open and transparent discussions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Concrete, pragmatic advice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong experience with complex ERP projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe advice provided is concrete and pragmatic, far from a theoretical or standardised message.
